Our friends at Nomad are out today with yet another stimulating new color of the brand’s popular Sport Band for the Apple Watch. But unlike many of the previously available colors, this one sports a unique quirk: the ability to glow in the dark.
Nomad’s Sport Band Glow touts an off-white aesthetic during the day, but upon being charged by the surrounding lights, it instantly emits a powerful and bright green glow when the lights dim or turn off.
Crafted from FKM, a fluoroelastomer material, Nomad’s Sport Straps are every bit as durable as Apple’s own first-party Sport Bands, and I’d argue more-so. The company prides itself the Sport Band’s subtle microtexture and smooth satin finish, which keep it looking and feeling spiffy even when it isn’t glowing in the dark.
The band is finished with custom Nomad-designed aluminum hardware and features ventilation channels all throughout to keep your wrist breathing even during intense physical activity. For those moments when you know you’re going to sweat, rest assured that the material is fully waterproof.
Regardless of whether you’re using a smaller Apple Watch, a larger one, or the Apple Watch Ultra (the chunkiest of them all), Nomad’s Sport Band Glow will fit your smartwatch and give you an exciting glow-in-the-dark experience.
Nomad’s Sport Bands are among my favorite aftermarket Apple Watch straps on the planet, and that’s why I flock to virtually every new color the company launches. This time is no different, and I’m excited to wear my Sport Band Glow when I get out into those low-light environments.
Note that Nomad’s Sport Band Glow is a limited edition run. If you’re interested in picking one up, then you can do so from Nomad’s website for $59.99.
