Nomad have been launching a ton of new products recently, and today, they’re excited to show off a brand-new Apple Watch-centric product dubbed the Rugged Case for Apple Watch.
Rugged Case for Apple Watch is a new take on Apple Watch protection that transcends ordinary plastic or carbon fiber materials and is instead built with a hardened stainless steel body that features an integrated FKM wrist strap – one that Nomad says has been on its most popular selling options over the past six months.
Here are some specs:
- Hardened 315L Stainless Steel Case Body
- 1000 HV DLC Coating
- TPU Lining Inside of Case
- Anodized Stainless Steel Buttons
- Integrated FKM Apple Watch Strap
As you can see, the case features a recessed area for the Digital Crown, making it easy to access even while protecting the Apple Watch from everyday life. Just below that is a tactile button protector that resembles the Action Button found on the Apple Watch Ultra, and Nomad says that they include both a black and an orange button so you can swap them out depending on your customization preferences.
It’s worth noting that Nomad’s new Rugged Case for Apple Watch isn’t intended for the Apple Watch Ultra, but instead, only for the mid-sized 44/45mm Series 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 Apple Watches. Additionally, you won’t be able to use any of your existing Apple Watch straps because the Rugged Case for Apple Watch’s straps are integrated into the unit itself.
On the other hand, the materials selected in Nomad’s Rugged Case for Apple Watch are not only resistant to the elements, but sleek and aesthetically pleasing – not that we’d expect anything different from our friends at Nomad. The TPU internal lining even ensures that the finish of your beautiful Apple Watch won’t be damaged by the stainless steel protective case.
